donnie darko sequence analysis on mise-en-scene

this is an analysis on the use of mise en scene in the film.

in the film sequence on donnie darko i focused on the use of mise-en-scene in the introduction of the arrival scene. the fist thing i saw automatically everybody is dressed up smartly and in a clean manor where all of them are wearing a white shirt and tucked in with smart bags and books under their arms.
at the entrance of the school there is a layout of flowers and the way they are set out are really clean and tidy. this shows how the school is a well presented school big goals ahead for the students.

the teachers are presented in a strict posture and and in this shot you could see the book in her arms has a quote or title that is about attitudinal beliefs. this is a use of mise en scene to present the type of teachers there are in the film.

in this scene of the class room the use of mise en scene is really effective because they have presented flag of the united states of america. also the teacher is presented with a smart dressed which also makes it look like the school is a productive school and ready to learn.
