Overview of Planning
When having our group discussion we though about many ideas on what we could possibly do for our main opening project. While discussing what we could do we thought that our previous idea that we came up with would be a good idea to use.
So we decided that our Plot would be a traveling and arriving of the main character in our opening.
Where a nerd is seen skateboarding to college however it is not so simple. While rushing to college he catches a glimpse of another character who happens to be the 'perfect girl' (which if we had to make the whole film). As he was mesmerized by her beauty he loses control over his skateboard and bumps into the 'cool' guys or the 'hoodrats', somewhat of an equivalent to the jocks in American teen films. Now through him bumping into these hoodrats and the plot we can clearly distinguish the contrast between the two binary oppositions. No after this we see the guys chasing the nerd all the way to college but luckily he escapes and gets to college just in time.
Because we are planning to make a film opening for a Teen Film, which will clearly be our genre. So the locations that we plan to use will be our college and areas surrounding the college in order to show the traveling and arriving. Our sub-genre for the film will be humor so this opening could be classed as the opening for Rom-com which shouldn't really be taken so seriously. Other themes would include friendship, romance, comedy.
